Learning English for non - English Speaking Learners

People who live in non- English Speaking Countries mostly find that learning English is quite difficult. Many of them usually take a course or need an English teacher
to help them learn this language effectively. Taking an English course
or a private course actually wasting money. Besides,
without constant practice, they do not even work. Therefore, considering that language is a skill, being good at English requires a hard
work of practice.
Because learning a new language like English
needs a constant practice, learners from non - English countries face some problems, for example:
- Having no English speaking surroundings.
- No partners.
- Having daily busy activities.
- Having no activities which have something to do with English.
The following activities may help you solve the problems:
1. Have fun with English.
Everything can be achieved easily when we like it. That’s the first thing you have to do to start learning
2. Surround yourself with English.
After you like English, then make sure you always watch and listen to
English programs on TV, radio, and internet everyday. To do this easily,
you may watch movies shown on TV regularly. As we know, up to now,
there are some TV channels which show English films everyday. You could
take this chance!
3. Just suppose that English is actually your own mother tongue instead of a second language.
In other words, as your language, you therefore do not only need to learn this language but also use this language.
4. Collect some various English songs you mostly like and get their lyrics if possible.
Then, sing the songs during your spare time. This is a very good way to
practice your pronunciation. Remember! Use the English songs for your
English practice instead of entertainment.
5. When you have no partners to practice your skill of speaking, you could speak to yourself and record your voice.
Recording
your voice will make you know your mistakes and get the further
correction. Of course we all must have no confidence and it seems
embarrassing to implementing this in public. Be sure that you do this
when you are absolutely alone. You could probably do this when riding
motorcycle, driving a car or being alone idle in your room.
6. Get in touch with internet.
Internet gives us lots of possibilities to access much information
including English practices, tests as well as its learning strategies.
It also facilitates us to have distant communication with native
speakers that helps us accustomed to being involved in the real English
conversation.
7. Use your mobile phone for your portable English practice device.
You may communicate to your friends who have better English anytime.
You may send them the English messages and ask them to correct the
mistakes. Install software of English dictionary in your mobile phone if
possible in order that you could get the meanings of new words anytime.
In this case, you all must have mobile phones. It is a piece of cake,
anyway!!
8. Visit some tourist resorts.
Having a face to face conversation with native speakers determines your
ability on implementing a direct communicative purpose in English. No
need to do this very often. You just have an allocated time in your
holidays to make it happen.
9. Take the English tests.
English tests, you will know how good your English n based on
the scores you get. This is an effective way to your evaluation and
improvement in learning English.
10. Remember, Practices Make Perfect.
Make sure you are always committed to doing all to be an expert.
