Words Communication

Everyone must agree that the most difficult thing in
teaching is creating attractive teachings. And it is in fact also the most
crucial thing that makes your pupils keep on following your instruction. Let me
share a very simple English game I’ve ever used. The game doesn’t require you
to make a lot of preparations.
Preparation
Make some cards of words. The cards include English words
that the pupils have learned before.
Ensure that all of them really have memorized the words and
known the spellings either.
Step 1:
Ask your pupils to make lines by standing beside their desks
according to their seat position and teams.
Step 2:
Give clear instructions how to play the game and check your
pupils’ understanding about it.
Step 3:
Ask pupils who sit at the back rows to prepare themselves.
Step 4:
Take one of the cards and show it to them. Make sure that no
one else knows it.
Step 5:
Ask them to memorize the words’ spelling on the cards.
Step 6:
Ask them to convey the words to their friends who sit in
front by whispering. Just ensure that the others do not hear what they are
saying. They are also not allowed to show the words by writing. Just whisper the
words close to their friends’ ears.
Step 7:
The last pupils who sit at the front rows have a job to
write the words correctly on the whiteboard.
Step 8:
Check who write the correct words on the whiteboard and get
the winners. Those who write the words’ spellings correctly are the winners.
It’s a piece of cake, right? Just try this in your
classroom!
